Hatchery Management

At Janaki Group's hatcheries, we specialize in the incubation and hatching of high-quality chicks. Using advanced technology and climate-controlled environments, we ensure the highest hatchability and healthy chicks that meet industry standards.

Biosecurity

Biosecurity is ensured by limiting access to essential personnel and by having footbaths and disinfectant at entry points.

Handling and Incubation

The eggs are kept in a cool environment and not stored for a long period before setting. If storage of eggs exceeds they are turned daily.

Quality Management

Detailed records of Egg Collection, Storage and Setting date etc is maintained alongside while monitoring metrics like hatchability, fertility rate, post hatching the chicks are then segragated on the basis of activity levels, deformities and closed navels.

Our Process

Our Hatchery practices

EGG Collection

Fertile Eggs that are collected from the breeder farms are selected and are disinfected to kill surface pathogens.

Egg Storage

These Fertile Eggs are then kept in a room maintaining the temperature between 16-18 Celcius, they are then brought to room temperature.

Incubation Period

The Eggs set for incubation during the setter phase are turned every hour to avoid the embryo from sticking to the egg membrane. Complete hatching occurs by 21 days.

Post-Hatch Operations

The hatched chicks are then sorted on the basis of any deformity and activity level to ensure they are healthy chicks.
